YOUR LEADERSHIP COACH
My journey to education leadership began unexpectedly. With a degree in Communications Media, I initially pursued a career in journalism. However, inspired by my mother, a dedicated elementary school teacher, I discovered my passion for education.
I began my career as a substitute teacher and quickly found my calling in the classroom. Over the years, I've served as a classroom teacher, department chair, and mentor teacher, developing a deep understanding of the challenges and rewards of teaching. I then transitioned into district administration, where I gained valuable insights into the complexities of educational leadership. As a former union president, I advocated for educators' rights and worked to create a more equitable and inclusive learning environment.
These diverse experiences have provided me with a unique and comprehensive perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing women of color in education leadership. I am passionate about empowering educators to achieve their leadership goals and create a more just and equitable education system.
As a former classroom teacher, district administrator, and union president, I bring a unique and comprehensive perspective to my coaching practice.
I understand the challenges and opportunities facing women of color in education leadership firsthand.
I am passionate about empowering educators to break through barriers and achieve their leadership goals.
